Here's the new big flower bed we created. The deer were very excited to see this go in.

We took out the big rocks, which I hated, and put in wildflowers and bushes. The deer love these...

Another view of the front walk, pre-deer-munched.

Here's one of the pesky critters just waiting for it to get dark so he can raid the plants.

Another view of the garden and the big bed. The good news is that if I remember to close up the garden fence, the deer stay out of there. Notice how everything looks orange? That's because of fire smoke...cough, cough.

I had to include a picture of our park-like pasture because Stevo spent a week mowing it to weaken the knapweed. A local high school is doing a science project on knapweed bugs, so they brought some over and sprinkled them on our knapweed. In two to three years, the knapweed should be gone.

We got a visit recently from about 20 wild turkeys, just wandered down the driveway, you know, teenagers looking for trouble....they like the mowed pasture. I hope they don't eat the knapweed bugs.
