The Nehls-Juedes-Smith-Weise Family Reunion 2000 in Montana. What a blast! The whole family caravaned from Southern California, and Grandma and Grandpa flew from Illinois.

They drove up blasting dijeridoos from every window, a salute to all the dij's I've painted for their birthdays. We had 7 adults and 6 kids for 8 days, sharing one motor home shower and one indoor shower. Amazing! Feeding time never ended...just as we finished cleaning up from breakfast, it was time for lunch.

We put the kids to work the next day and one day of that was enough! We had a great time, though, and it was fun to have the whole family at my house for a change. We had some bonzer thunder and lightening storms while everyone was here, which must have been exciting for the folks sleeping in the tent.

This was the summer of the awful fires in the Bitterroot Valley, but luckily they started after the family had already left. Whew! Maybe we'll do it again sometime for Christmas!
